Ruth B. - Dandelions ringtone free download from Pop / Dance category.
DownloadRuth B. is a 26-year-old singer and songwriter from Alberta, Edmonton. She is mostly known for her contributions to the R&B genre of music but her 2017 hit song "Dandelions" differs from her usual stomping grounds.
From The Beginning
Right from the very beginning, the song Dandelions is about the feeling of wonder that comes with falling in love. From the very first verse, the protagonist is trying to guess the reason why she is in love with this mysterious and unnamed individual. She posits many theories, among them she wonders if it is because he "says her name" in a different way or because of how he plays with her heart.
Either way, the song does not give much in the way of answers and so the general theme of wonder and mysticism continues to resonate through these unforgettable lyrics.
The pre-chorus revolves around the protagonist speaking about the many tales that she has heard surrounding love. Primarily, that love comes once in a lifetime and from this, she gathers that he must be that once in a lifetime love that she has heard so much about. Whether you believe that love only occurs once in life or whether it is a revolving door of options, this song captures the feeling of love perfectly.
The chorus is where the song really takes off. Dandelions are the central theme of the entire piece. From this flower, the song borrows its name. Culturally, it is believed that if you blow on a dandelion and do the job of making a wish then your wish will come true. It is for this reason that the protagonist of the song is roaming through a field of dandelions.
The protagonist is blowing on each dandelion and repeatedly wishing for their love to be reciprocated. Far from an obsession, this can be seen as the first stage of what is colloquially known as "puppy love".
Wishes Turn to Prayers
The protagonist goes from wishing to praying that the one they love, loves them back. They state as much in the middle of the post-chorus, "Praying to God, that you will be mine".
When searching for a ringtone, if you find yourself in a trance thinking about your crush and wishing and praying much in the same way as mentioned, then consider this the right choice.
The lyrics amplify all that we have been able to gather thus far in the following line by stating, "wishing on dandelions all of the time". We can almost gather a sense of hopelessness in this line. The protagonist is always wishing but their wish is yet to come true. Despite this, they continue to persist in their quest for a once in a lifetime love.
A Feeling Carried Through into The End
Near the final third of the song, the lines "Dandelion into the wind you go, Won't you let my darling know?", are all the proof we need of this love having a hint of desperation within it. At this point, the protagonist is almost left begging the dandelion to carry on their message to their lover. Hoping that this inanimate object understands and aids them in their search for the one.
The negative feelings of the protagonist are assuaged whenever they see their love smile. As if, this very action puts to rest any of the horrible thoughts they have been having of being unlovable and never being able to find them a once in a lifetime love.
Ringtone Choice
If you find yourself constantly thinking about the one you love and spending all of your free time wishing that they would be with you. If you believe the stories of everyone having "one true love" and that this special love only comes once in a lifetime. If you pray to God that the one you love, loves you back then this song should definitely be your ringtone.
It is a song for love minded dreamers who wish for a life with the one that they dream of. Every time you receive a call, you will be reminded of the one you love and nothing could be more special than that.
Who knows, maybe one day, the caller will be your one true love.
