It was recorded in Berlin in 1977, during the same session that produced Low and "Heroes," but it wasn't released until 1995 when it appeared on a Bowie compilation called Changesbowie.

Bowie wrote "Heroes" while living in West Berlin during the Cold War; he has said of how Berlin's situation affected him: "The wall was very influential on me visually.
